Message at speed, my car's temps will continue to climb if I turn my electric fan off. I had a perfectly enclosed shroud as first, and air could/would still pass through the fan opening/flow around the fan while off, but it's not enough. I tried cutting two 6" holes at the bottom right where the air exits after passing through the radiator (giving a direct path at speed bypassing the fan opening) - and temps still climb with no fan. So for cars with a mechanical fan, it's still doing work moving air at speed.
